Last week Cheadle MP Mark Hunter was the special guest at the Cheadle Hulme Flower Show Society Coffee Morning - organised to raise money for the Society's 50th Flower Show.

The Cheadle Hulme Flower Show takes place annually every September, and this year will mark its 50th Anniversary. The Coffee Morning in the Parish Rooms in Cheadle Hulme was a fundraising effort to help the Cheadle Hulme Flower Show Society create a 'bumper crop' event to celebrate this special year. The Coffee Morning boasted a book stall, tombola, raffle prize draw, and flower stall, with visitors from across the local area popping in to help support this worthy cause.

Mark Hunter MP said: "The Cheadle Hulme Flower Show is well known in the area, the shows are always popular and it was great to see so many local residents out supporting this vital part of our community. I very much enjoy attending the show myself, and last year was pleased to be invited to open it.

"My wife, Lesley and I thoroughly enjoyed the morning, which was a great success with people from all over the area coming to support the Cheadle Hulme Flower Show Society. I wish the Society well in the coming months with all the planning and hard work I know goes into the show and I look forward to attending it in September."
