Cheadle Constituency MP Mark Hunter and his wife Lesley were at the Parish Rooms in Cheadle Hulme this week (Saturday 6th September) to open the 49th Annual Flower Show. Mark was met by Eddie Garrick, Chairman of the Cheadle Hulme Flower Show Society, who viewed with him the huge variety of entries in the competition, which included fruit, vegetables, handicraft and photography, as well as flowers of course. Mark was pleased to meet Lauren, a winner in the junior category, who was displaying her miniature garden.

Speaking after the event, Mr Hunter said "I was really pleased to be invited to open such a brilliant local event, and it's proved to be just as good as I expected! There were entries in over a hundred categories, so it really showcased talent from all parts of the community. Lesley and I are already looking forward to next year's 'extra special' show to mark the Society's 50th Anniversary."

If you are a resident of the Cheadle constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
