Mark's Christmas Message

With Christmas now just around the corner, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of your local Liberal Democrat team to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.

At this time of year my thoughts are with those who loved ones cannot be with them - in particular those who are ill or infirm. I would like to include in this our men and women on service abroad in Iraq, Afghanistan or posted elsewhere. It must be very hard to be away from the people you care about at this time and my best wishes are with them and their families during this holiday season.

As the year draws to a close we have time to reflect on what the year has brought, what we have achieved and how we could make next year better. We can also take the time to consider those who are less fortunate than us and what we can do to help them both over the festive period and in the upcoming months, as well as dusting off our New Year resolutions.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the privilege and responsibility of representing Cheadle, Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme, Gatley, Heald Green, Woodford, Stepping Hill and parts of Hazel Grove in Parliament. It is rewarding though hard work, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Again, can I reiterate that my door is always open and that I am happy to raise any issues or problems you might have with the relevant authorities from the local council, to the Prime Minister.

Finally can I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and say that I hope that whether you are of the Christian faith or not that you have a peaceful, restful and pleasant festive season.

With Best wishes, Mark Hunter MP

If you are a resident of the Cheadle constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
