To start the busy Christmas events calendar of a local MP, Mark Hunter MP for the Cheadle Constituency attended the Vernon Building Society (Poynton) Brass Band concert in the Heald Green Village Hall on Sunday evening (2nd December).

Mr Hunter attended as the special guest of "The Friends of the Village Hall" to hear the band directed by Alan Lawton M.B.E, with his wife Lesley and son Rob.

On the night Mr Hunter took on a staring role as assistant to the prize raffle team raising money for local charities. He also led a vote of thanks to the band for their excellent performance, the village hall committee for their superb decorations and organisation and for the paying public for supporting their local village hall.

The Friends of the Heald Green Village Hall have now made something of a tradition of inviting the Poynton Brass Band to kick off their seasonal celebrations and for anyone who enjoys a good night out and was unable to get a ticket this year I would advise you to book it in your diary now, for next year's event."

If you are a resident of the Cheadle constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
