Mark visiting Beacon Counselling

Beacon Counselling based in Bramhall, this week had a visit from local MP Mark Hunter. Beacon Counselling was established over 20 years ago and provides an independent confidential Counselling for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems. In the last 12 months their team of 32 Counsellors have helped 342 adults with a wide range of emotional and personal issues.

Mr Hunter had written to the charity to congratulate them on receiving a £7,000 grant from the Community Foundation. In return, James Harper, the manager at Beacon Counselling invited Mark to pop in and learn more about their work.

"I was really impressed by what I have seen and heard today. There is clearly a demand for the service in our area, and I really want to pay tribute the team at Beacon Counselling. The many volunteers quietly go about doing an incredible job and I am keen that their good work should not go unnoticed, "says Mark Hunter MP

James Harper, Manage of Beacon Counselling adder 'We were so pleased that Mark Hunter wanted to visit Beacon Counselling, and really appreciated the time and commitment he gave."

Beacon Counselling have a number of counselling centres across the borough, but the HQ remains in Bramhall.

If you are a resident of the Cheadle constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
