Mark views solar panels with Mr Harris

Cheadle MP Mark Hunter dropped in on constituent, Mr Harris this week to see his newly installed advanced solar panels in action. Mr Harris, a resident of Twining Brook Road in Cheadle Hulme has had solar panels installed on the front and back of his property and Mark was keen to witness their energy saving capabilities.

The advanced solar energy system diffuses radiation from the sun and uses the energy to heat domestic water. The system works even in gloomy weather as the revolutionary design ensures that the panels absorb, direct and diffuse the sun's rays in much greater mass than traditional solar panels.

"Environmental concerns are probably one of the most pressing issues on the global political agenda. I know from my recent environment survey, which thousands of constituents returned to me, how concerned Cheadle constituency residents are about the environment.

I believe that we all have a vital role to play in saving the environment. If we are to reduce energy demand then we all need to do more and not less. In my own home in Bramhall, we have fitted the house out with energy saving light bulbs and have taken another of other initiatives. However, I really must commend Mr Harris in taking the next step even if the panels have been costly to install. The government must offer more in the way of incentives to assist more people in taking this step. If you are a resident of the Cheadle constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
