Relay for Life

Mark with organisers of the Relay for Life

On Saturday, at Stockport Rugby Club in Bramhall, Mark opened the Relay for Life event in support of Cancer Research.

Relay for Life began in 1994, with one race in Battersea Park: 680 women came together and raised £36,000 in sponsorship. Twelve years on, Race for Life has grown to become the UK's biggest women only fundraising event. They have raised over a £100 million for Cancer Research UK and welcomed over 2 million women to our events.

see www.cancerresearchuk.org/relay for more details of the cause.

Having opened the Relay for Life, Mark said, "It has been a great day out today not just with the relay itself, but i've seen all sorts of stalls, entertainment and activities going on for this great cause."

If you are a resident of the Cheadle constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
